FACE LIFT

I do the standard S-incision face lift; this operation has been unchanged for many years.  It has recently been heavily promoted as the “Lifestyles Lift.”  I close with individual buried (hidden) stitches that maintain their strength for at least three weeks.  This keeps the scars from widening from the tension on it.   

Liposuction is almost always an integral part of face-lift.  Lower face-lift plus liposuction of neck, under chin, and jowls is $4000.  If a wattle (“turkey neck”) needs to be excised, add $1000; this isn’t needed often, but when skin must be removed here the closure has to be converted to a Z-plasty so the scar can’t tighten into a band running from chin to lower neck.
